PUBLIC HEARING FOR RV PARKING ORDINANCE SLATED FOR JULY 28
The Dimondale Village Planning
Commission will hold a Public Hearing July 28 at 7:30 p.m.
in the Village Council Chambers to obtain comments on Ordinance 2008-5,
an ordinance to amend Chapters 420, Parking; 1287, Home Occupations;
and 1288, Off- Street Parking and Loading, of the Codified Ordinances
of Dimondale to provide for the regulation of trailers. After
several months of review, the Planning Commission will solicit feedback
on proposed amendments regarding parking regulations for
non-commercial, recreational trailers. The following excerpt
reflects the recommended language: “No person shall park a
semi-trailer, trailer or pole trailer upon any street without having
attached thereto a means of mechanical traction so constructed or
designed for the purpose of drawing such trailer except that
non-commercial, recreational trailers may be temporarily parked (not
exceeding three (3) days) for loading or unloading and other temporary
purposes.”
We value your input and encourage all
interested
residents to attend the public hearing regarding this important
change. If you have questions or would like a complete copy of
the text, please feel free to call the Village Office at 646.0230,
Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Tax Time
Just a quick reminder
to all residents that summer tax bills were mailed July 2 and are due
by 5:00 p.m. September 15. Please note, Village residents pay two
summer taxes, one to the Village of Dimondale and another to Windsor
Township for the State Education Tax Fund. Call 646.0230
with any questions.
CORRECTIONS
✰The street sweeper will be in
town on the FIRST Thursday of the month.
✰Because Community Pride Day was such a success, volunteers were
able to remove all the brush piles from
the island and a controlled burn
will no longer
be necessary. A big thanks to all the folks who helped out!
